Insolvency & Restructuring Senior Associate (BVI)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insolvency & Restructuring Senior Associate to join one of the leading restructuring teams in the offshore market at one of the largest global professional services firms in the world.

This role offers exposure to some of the most complex and high-profile restructuring and insolvency engagements across multiple sectors, often involving cross-border financial and operational challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, assisting companies, lenders, creditors, and other stakeholders to navigate financial distress, protect and restore value, and implement effective restructuring strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day case management across a diverse portfolio of restructuring and insolvency assignments.
• Prepare detailed analyses, financial reports, and recommendations for delivery to clients, creditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the design and execution of restructuring strategies, including liquidations, receiverships, and corporate simplification projects.
• Liaise directly with clients, legal counsel, and external stakeholders, often in multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members while ensuring quality and accuracy across deliverables.
• Identify challenges and proactively suggest solutions to move engagements forward.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate insolvency and restructuring, ideally within a professional services environment.
• An internationally recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA), although a part-qualified with just final exams remaining will be considered for an Associate level role instead.
• Strong knowledge of statutory insolvency frameworks within common law jurisdictions; familiarity with cross-border legislation is desirable.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
