Insolvency & Compliance Manager

We have been engaged by one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing accountancy firms to help identify an Insolvency & Compliance Manager.

The core premise of this role is two-fold, one to act as liaison between the Insolvency Practitioners and the external regulators with annual compliance visits, and two, to lead on internal regulatory and compliance reviews across the firm.

The firm are happy to support hybrid working with London the main office you will work from three days a week. With a UK wide presence, your role will require occasional travel to wider teams sat in offices around the country.

Core duties will include but not be limited to:

• supervise regulatory inspection visits, including travel to the reviewing offices when needed.
• review and approve responses to case review queries and closing reports.
• prepare focused training to offices when needed following the conclusion of a regulatory visit.
• periodically review of compliance with AML / KYC processes.
• assisting the regulatory team with the updating of the firm’s standard documentation.

To be considered for the position, you will need to have extensive knowledge of all forms of corporate and personal insolvency, the processes followed on casework, and exceptional understanding of regulatory / compliance standards.

JIEB is preferable but not essential. Those working towards the qualification will be considered. Those currently working or with a background of having worked for one of the insolvency regulators (IPA / ICAEW) will be of great interest.

You will report into the Head of Technical & Compliance and be given the opportunity to learn from their extensive expertise, while also be given scope for change and reinvention of the role.
